Family Traffic Skills Ride

For kids ~ 7 to 12 years old, with their parents!

Learn how bike crashes happen and how to avoid them in a fun and relaxed discussion, followed by bike-handling training and a short, easy ride. This class is similar in format to our Traffic Skills Intro, and is appropriate for kids who are comfortable riding without training-wheels.  Those who are not should see How to Ride a Bike, and get some practice first.

The cost is $5 (breakfast included!) for each family member (1 adult with up to 3 children, or 2 adults with up to 6 children). This class is free with purchase of any (kid's or adult's) OCBC bike or membership. Registration is required: click here, and just register once for each family.

One adult must accompany (up to) 3 children. Loaner bikes must be reserved in advance.

  • If you are taking this as part of the Earn-a-Bike program, please select "Free - I have Credits" as your payment option.
  • If you have purchased a bike for your child from us, please select "Free - Bike Purchase" as your payment option.
  • Otherwise, the class fee is $5 per family member (one adult and up to 3 kids, or two adults and up to 6 kids).
  • Volunteers taking this class as training for Rodeo or Earn A Bike helpers can use the discount code assigned.
